Wilf Carter and Cori
Brewster (Posted on January 17, 2011)
My biggest music surprise of 2010 blindsided me at
Vintage Bistro in Hampton ...... “Wilf Carter!” she
said. “Then you should talk with Cori Brewster, my
opening act,” she said. She's from Banff and her
grandfather and father were promoters of Wilf's early
on.”

Vintage Bistro Music....(posted
on February 11, 2011)
"Vintage Bistro, 14 Centennial Dr., in Hampton
is a unique and impressive three-level dining and
entertainment facility Carol Anne and Gary Forsgren
opened a few years ago. Since extensive renovations last
summer, its main entertainment level now seats 100 in
dining comfort."
"Among the acts who have played there are Stan's
brother Garnet Rogers, Mick's brother Chris Jagger,
Gene's daughter Catherine MacLellan, and even Jen
Chapin, Harry's (The Cat's In The Cradle) daughter."
"This weekend, however, two exciting local acts
play Vintage back to back. Tonight at 8 p.m. it's
Fredericton's teen Irish fiddle champ Kathleen
Gorey-McSorley. On Friday at 8 p.m. southern New
Brunswick's shanty and sea song chorus Before The Mast
takes the stage. On Saturday at 8 p.m. it's Laura Smith,
a leading Canadian country blues singer of a decade ago,
who is active again after a hiatus. She joins young
rising country star Ryan MacGrath. All three acts fall
well within the real traditional folk/ country umbrella."
